The most common question we receive at our Highams Park clinic is: "I saw Shockwave Therapy for a cheaper cost elsewhere. Why are you charging more?"
The answer lies in the physics of the Storz Medical focused shockwave machine and the training we've completed to use this equipment.
The Entry-Level: Radial Shockwave
Radial devices use a pneumatic "jackhammer" effect. The energy is strongest at the skin’s surface, weakening as it penetrates deeper.
Best for: Large, superficial muscle groups (calves, glutes).
Limitations: its energy is strongest near the skin's surface, so it's less suited to deeper tendons.
Focused Shockwave
We use the Storz top-of-the-range Focused Shockwave machine. Unlike Radial, this device uses electromagnetic coils to converge all the energy into a single, targeted point deep inside the body, where damaged cells are located. This could be up to 12.5 cm deep.
Precision: the energy can be focused on the area being treated.
Cellular impact: it aims to encourage new blood vessel growth (angiogenesis), which may help some long-standing injuries.
The Investment: These machines cost significantly more than Radial machines and require more maintenance. This is reflected in the session price.
2. Transparent Pricing at The Shockwave Therapy Clinic
We believe patients should never face "hidden fees." Here is our current price structure for 2026.
Shockwave sessions are charged according to individual requirements. Treatments for tendonitis, MSK ailments, AWT, and Men's Health Conditions (ED) are all priced depending on the type of Shockwave Therapy required (Radial/Focused or both) and how many ailments you need treating within the sessions (one ailment or two).
General MSK Ailments & Sports Injuries (e.g., Heel, Knee, Shoulder)
Focused Shockwave Pricing:
- 1 Session (Single ailment): £130
- 1 Session (Two ailments/bilateral): £220 (Save £40)
- 3-Session Recovery Block: £350 (Save £40)
- 6-Session Recovery Block: £675 (Save £105)
When we combine sessions of Radial Shockwave and Focused Shockwave Therapy, only the Focused Shockwave Therapy price will be charged.
Radial Shockwave Pricing:
- 1 Session (Single ailment): £80
- 1 Session (Two ailments/bilateral): £130 (Save £30)
- 3-Session Recovery Block: £210 (Save £30)
- 6-Session Recovery Block: £400 (Save £80)
Men’s Health (Erectile Dysfunction)
Treating Erectile Dysfunction requires a specific medical protocol. It's given as a course of sessions rather than a single treatment.
Our ED protocol follows Storz Medical's clinical guidelines.
Erectile dysfunction focused shockwave pricing: the ED course costs £1,500 in total. That includes your £100 consultation and written report, plus 6 sessions of 3,000 shocks each using the Storz Duolith T-Top. If you go ahead after your consultation, you can pay the balance session by session, at about £233 a session.
When you work out your budget, look at the total cost of a full course rather than the price of a single session.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Most long-standing tendon problems need 3 to 6 sessions, spaced about a week apart. We don't believe in "endless" treatment plans; if you aren't seeing progress by session three, we'll review your plan with you.
